Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2026
This privacy policy explains what information PDX Garage Door (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit pdxgaragedoor.com, call us, or ask us for service, how we use it, and the choices you have. PDX Garage Door is a garage door repair company in Portland, Oregon (Oregon CCB #243614).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, call, text or email us, or book a job, we collect what you share with us, such as your name, phone number, email address, service address or ZIP code, a description of the problem with your door, photos you send us, and appointment details.
Phone calls. When you call us, we receive your phone number and the time and length of the call. Calls may be answered by our virtual (AI) phone assistant or by our team, and calls may be recorded and transcribed so we can schedule your job correctly, follow up, and improve our service.
Payments. If you pay by card, your card details are handled by the card processor. We do not store full card numbers on our website or in our customer records.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers collect information such as your browser and device type, the pages you visit, the website or ad that brought you here (for example, a Google ad click ID or campaign tag), and general location based on your IP address. We collect this using cookies and similar technologies, described below.
How we use your information
- To answer your request, call or text you back, schedule and perform the work, and send estimates, invoices and appointment updates.
- To keep records of our jobs and customers, and to handle warranty questions, payments and complaints.
- To measure and improve our advertising, for example to learn which ads and pages lead to calls, booked jobs and completed jobs.
- To keep our website and phone lines safe, including blocking spam calls and fake form submissions.
- To follow the law and protect our rights.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies from us and from these providers:
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use our website.
- Google Ads conversion tracking, to measure which of our ads lead to calls, form requests and jobs.
- CallRail call tracking, which may show you a different phone number for us depending on how you found our website, so we can tell which ad or page led to your call.
- Our own cookie, which remembers the ad or campaign that brought you to our website for up to 90 days, so we know where a request came from.
- Embedded content, such as our Google reviews display, which may set its own cookies.
To measure our ads, we tell Google when someone who came from one of our ads books or completes a job, using the ad click ID and, for jobs that come in by phone, the caller’s phone number and call time, along with the job value. Google uses this to report our ad results to us. We do not upload customer lists to Google for ad targeting.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can control the ads Google shows you at Google My Ad Center, and opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:
- Our technicians and team, so they can contact you and do the work.
- Service providers that work for us, such as website hosting, email, our customer and job management system, phone and call tracking services, our virtual phone assistant, messaging apps our team uses for job alerts, payment processing, and analytics and advertising services. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights, our customers or others.
- Business changes, if our business is sold or merged, as part of that transaction.
Calls and text messages
If you call us, text us or send us a request, we may call or text you about that request and your appointment. Message and data rates may apply. You can ask us to stop at any time by telling us, or by replying STOP to a text. We do not share your phone number or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as we need it to serve you, keep business, tax and contractor records, and resolve disputes. Call recordings and website analytics data may be kept for shorter periods, set by the providers that store them.
How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards, such as password-protected accounts and encrypted connections, to protect the information we keep. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can ask us to stop calling or texting you. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will respond within 45 days, and we will not treat you differently for making a request. Some information we may need to keep, for example for tax records or open jobs.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
