EXCELLENT Based on 162 reviews Kodie TangJuly 7, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was able to schedule a same day appointment. Ben came out to look at my garage door. I backed into it and was scared there was damage. He checked it out to determine it was just cosmetic. I super appreciated the prompt response and honesty. Thank you. Disa Juarez-ValerioJune 17, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. UPDATE: within minutes of posting a 3 star review the company reached out to discuss what had occurred. The message from the manager Sean said he wished I would have contacted them prior to posting and "I will do everything possible to make it right with you to make sure you are feeling good with doing business with us and change that review to 5 stars." A few minutes later I received a call from Ben and to be honest I was on the defense expected to be bullied into changing my review but that wasn't the case at all. He apologized, explained how important customer service is to them and he repeated more than once that he didn't want me to feel pressured into changing my review. He listened to my concerns and was perfectly professional throughout, in the endhe gave me a partial refund and made sure that I was fully satisfied before we hung up. I was very impressed by how he handled this situation, he deserves a raise. Now I don't know about you, but to me, this is the epitome of customer service excellence. Can I now recommend this company? Absolutely! With the caveat that I definitely recommend getting an additional competitor's quote so you will end up with the peace of mind of knowing that you contracted not only great company, but at a great price. (Original review below)....... Disclaimer: I did not get a comparative quote from another company and wished I had. First of all, I will say that service was fast and professional. I just had a few things that left me feeling icky. A new garage door opener with remotes and new sensors was replaced today. I felt the labor fee was on the high end of fair. However, I do not for the life of me understand why a $259 liftmaster opener was marked up to $850. I was told it was because they offer a lifetime guarantee. But only one year of labor. I asked if I could get the garage door without the guarantee and was offered a nice discount on the labor fee in return. Good customer service for sure but still wishing I had gotten a second quote to find out if this is industry standard. Then it came time to pay. They accept venmo, cashapp etc. But charge a 3.5% fee for their credit card. I wasn't prepared for that. I've never been charged a credit card fee by a contractor before and just left me feeling like this company is greedy. SAFETY TIPS
When Do You Need a Garage Door Track Repair?
A garage door track guides the door’s movement, keeping it aligned and balanced. If the track bends, shifts, or rusts, the door may jerk, make grinding noises, or stop mid-cycle. Gaps between the rollers and track, uneven closing, or visible dents signal track issues that need immediate attention.
Minor misalignment can cause excessive strain on the opener, leading to motor burnout. A severely bent track may force the door off its rails, increasing the risk of cables snapping or the door becoming stuck. Moisture and temperature changes in Portland accelerate rust, weakening the metal over time.
Ignoring track problems can result in costly repairs down the line. Routine inspections help catch small issues before they worsen. Reinforced tracks and high-quality rollers ensure long-term durability, reducing wear on the entire system.
If your garage door is struggling to move smoothly or shows signs of track damage, call now for expert repair to restore safe and reliable operation.

Why Choose Us
Garage Door Track Repair SERVICE
A garage door that shakes, jerks, or sticks isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a safety risk. Garage Door Track Repair Portland requires precise adjustments, ensuring the door remains stable under daily use. Tracks can bend from accidental impact, worn-out rollers, or improper installation. If left unchecked, misalignment causes cables to slip off, leading to sudden breakdowns.
We handle everything from realigning vertical and horizontal tracks to securing brackets that hold them in place. If the track is severely damaged, replacement is often the safest option. Reinforced steel tracks and heavy-duty rollers extend the lifespan of the system, reducing the chances of emergency failures. A garage door opener relies on properly aligned tracks to operate smoothly—when tracks are off, the motor works harder, leading to premature burnout. Addressing these issues early prevents costly repairs down the line.

about us
professionals in Garage DOOR SERVICES
Portland’s climate brings moisture, which can cause rust and corrosion on garage door tracks, leading to resistance and misalignment. PDX Garage Door specializes in Garage Door Track Repair Portland, ensuring doors move effortlessly without added strain on openers and springs. We work with high-quality tracks from brands like Clopay, Amarr, and CHI, designed for durability in high-use environments.
Our process includes inspecting rollers for flat spots, reinforcing track brackets, and checking for loose fasteners that can throw the system off balance. Tracks made from low-gauge steel wear out faster under frequent use, so we recommend heavy-duty replacements when necessary. Rollers from brands like Dura-Lift and Precision ensure smooth operation, reducing stress on the opener. Every repair is done with attention to alignment, ensuring long-term stability and safe operation for daily use.

FAQ’s
Frequently Ask Questions
A damaged track causes the door to move unevenly, make grinding or squeaking noises, or get stuck halfway. Visible dents, gaps between the rollers and track, or loose brackets indicate misalignment. If the door tilts when opening or closing, the track may be bent. Addressing these issues early prevents strain on the opener and avoids further damage to cables and springs.
A minor bend can often be adjusted with professional realignment, but severe damage requires track replacement. If the track is warped, corroded, or has multiple dents, a new one ensures smooth operation. Using heavy-duty steel tracks reduces future issues. Ignoring a bent track leads to roller wear, cable strain, and an unbalanced door that may come off its rails.
A misaligned track forces the opener to work harder, leading to overheating and premature failure. The uneven movement puts stress on internal gears, belts, and motors, reducing lifespan. Rollers may also pop out of place, creating additional strain on the door's weight distribution. Keeping tracks aligned prevents costly opener replacements and ensures smooth, efficient operation.
Accidental impact from vehicles, loose hardware, rust buildup, and weak brackets can bend or misalign tracks. Poor installation or excessive weight from an unbalanced door also contribute to track damage. In areas with moisture, corrosion weakens the track, making it more likely to warp. Regular maintenance prevents these issues by reinforcing brackets and lubricating moving parts.
Regular inspections help catch early signs of wear. Keeping tracks clean, lubricating rollers, and tightening loose brackets improve longevity. Upgrading to reinforced steel tracks with heavy-duty rollers minimizes the risk of bending. If you notice the door moving unevenly, getting it checked early prevents bigger repairs. Proper maintenance ensures the door operates safely and smoothly for years.
