EXCELLENT Based on 162 reviews Kodie TangJuly 7, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was able to schedule a same day appointment. Ben came out to look at my garage door. I backed into it and was scared there was damage. He checked it out to determine it was just cosmetic. I super appreciated the prompt response and honesty. Thank you. Disa Juarez-ValerioJune 17, 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. UPDATE: within minutes of posting a 3 star review the company reached out to discuss what had occurred. The message from the manager Sean said he wished I would have contacted them prior to posting and "I will do everything possible to make it right with you to make sure you are feeling good with doing business with us and change that review to 5 stars." A few minutes later I received a call from Ben and to be honest I was on the defense expected to be bullied into changing my review but that wasn't the case at all. He apologized, explained how important customer service is to them and he repeated more than once that he didn't want me to feel pressured into changing my review. He listened to my concerns and was perfectly professional throughout, in the endhe gave me a partial refund and made sure that I was fully satisfied before we hung up. I was very impressed by how he handled this situation, he deserves a raise. Now I don't know about you, but to me, this is the epitome of customer service excellence. Can I now recommend this company? Absolutely! With the caveat that I definitely recommend getting an additional competitor's quote so you will end up with the peace of mind of knowing that you contracted not only great company, but at a great price. (Original review below)....... Disclaimer: I did not get a comparative quote from another company and wished I had. First of all, I will say that service was fast and professional. I just had a few things that left me feeling icky. A new garage door opener with remotes and new sensors was replaced today. I felt the labor fee was on the high end of fair. However, I do not for the life of me understand why a $259 liftmaster opener was marked up to $850. I was told it was because they offer a lifetime guarantee. But only one year of labor. I asked if I could get the garage door without the guarantee and was offered a nice discount on the labor fee in return. Good customer service for sure but still wishing I had gotten a second quote to find out if this is industry standard. Then it came time to pay. They accept venmo, cashapp etc. But charge a 3.5% fee for their credit card. I wasn't prepared for that. I've never been charged a credit card fee by a contractor before and just left me feeling like this company is greedy. SAFETY TIPS
When Do You Need a Garage Door Installation in Albany?
A garage door isn’t something you replace often, but certain signs make installation unavoidable. If your door struggles to open, makes excessive noise, or has visible damage like cracks or warping, it’s time for an upgrade. Older doors with worn-out springs or bent tracks can become safety hazards, especially if they suddenly collapse or get stuck mid-operation.
Energy efficiency is another reason to install a new door. Outdated models with poor insulation lead to heat loss in winter and higher cooling costs in summer. A properly sealed and insulated door keeps temperatures stable while reducing energy bills.
Security is also a concern. Weak panels and outdated locking mechanisms make garages easy targets. Upgrading to a reinforced model with modern safety features adds extra protection.
Whether your garage door is outdated, unsafe, or just doesn’t fit your needs anymore, a professional installation ensures long-term durability and performance. Call now to schedule your garage door installation and get expert recommendations for the best fit.

Why Choose Us
Garage Door Installation in Albany SERVICE
A garage door is only as good as its installation. Even the best brands—Wayne Dalton, LiftMaster, or Hormann—fail if not installed correctly. Garage Door Installation Albany demands expertise in balancing, alignment, and torque adjustments to prevent strain on the opener. Incorrect spring tension can lead to sudden failures, while poor track installation results in doors that jam or shake during operation.
We don’t just install; we assess structural integrity, adjust torsion and extension springs for weight distribution, and secure cables to prevent snapping under pressure. Emergency situations arise when old doors collapse due to rusted hinges or broken rollers. A cable fraying near the drum or a misaligned photo eye can turn into a full breakdown. That’s why post-installation safety checks aren’t optional—they’re necessary.

FAQ’s
Frequently Ask Questions
If the door isn’t aligned properly, you might notice uneven closing, noisy operation, or gaps at the bottom. Poor spring tension can cause the door to slam shut or struggle to open. Misaligned tracks lead to jerky movement, and sensor misplacement might prevent automatic openers from working smoothly.
Garage door openers have weight and size limits. If the new door is heavier or larger than the previous one, the opener might strain, overheat, or fail. Belt-driven models are best for quiet operation, while chain-driven openers handle heavier doors but need regular lubrication to avoid wear.
Steel doors offer strength and security, while aluminum is lightweight and rust-resistant. Wooden doors provide a classic look but require more maintenance. Insulated composite doors help with energy efficiency and noise reduction, especially in extreme weather. The right material depends on climate, usage, and maintenance preferences.
Noise usually comes from loose hardware, improper track alignment, or dry rollers. Metal components need periodic lubrication, and new springs may take time to settle. If the door vibrates excessively, the opener settings might need adjustment. Rattling sounds can indicate minor installation issues that should be checked before they worsen.
Ensure the auto-reverse function works by placing an object under the door before closing it. The sensors should be aligned and free of obstructions. Check the manual release for emergencies and inspect cables for proper tension. Reinforced brackets and anti-lift devices add extra security against forced entry attempts.
